OK, well maybe the headline is a bit harsh, particularly because I was born in Western Australia. However, I got a little tired of West Coast Eagles beating Adelaide in both 2005 and 2006 preliminary finals by very small margins. That, together with the whole Ben Cousins and mafia thing. It is time the Eagles go through a bit of a dry patch. So, to see a 77 point drubbing on TV this weekend was very sweet!

OK kiddies, don’t try this at home…
So, I decide to hit the hot tub not quite realizing it’s as brass monkeys as it really is when I get outside…Not to fear, I’ll be in the hot tub soon! I’m in the tub, reading my new copy of Wired magazine (which I luckily found, not remembering I had a new one) and sipping a great homebrew porter I made a while back when I notice that my glass of beer is starting to freeze. Soon I can’t read because I can’t keep my hands out of the water! Then I realize I can’t feel my ears any more! Time to go inside!! Then the cover of the hot tub (vinyl) is frozen solid and won’t close because it is a tad close to the house exterior. So, a few more nice moments in the bitter cold before I can go in. I get inside and notice the back of my hair is frozen!
Anyway, I must say this is definitely the coldest winter with the most snow I’ve experienced here. So, for the Aussies out there - please think of us when you’re having fun at the BBQ in the sun!:)
Well, I got up this morning and as Amelia was going to bed for her morning nap, I was ready to watch some premier league. Checked the DVR and was pleasantly surprised when I saw the first Aussie Rules footy game of the season already recorded. Cool! So, watching some footy this morning. Thought I’d post the highlights video from last year’s season I found on youtube.

It’s been and gone and we didn’t hold our normal Australia Day party. Will have to pick that up again next year. Anyway, here’s a very late post and video to mark that day.
OK, so for some people this video will be old as it has been around for a while. It is one of the most viewed videos on youtube with over 23million views!! This was from a true story from a guy in Sydney a year or so ago. Enjoy.
